The joint MDes/MBA degree combines advanced methods for exploring new theories of design with an understanding of the business applications of technology and analytic methods. MDes/MBA graduates are uniquely well qualified to lead collaborative, interdisciplinary, global innovation organizations. Both degrees are usually earned full-time in two to three years plus one quarter. The length of the program depends on the student’s experience and background. Dual enrollment can reduce degree requirements by seven semester hours in MDes and two courses in MBA.

Candidates for a dual degree program must apply to and be accepted by each program separately. Current LSAT scores are required for admission to Chicago-Kent College of Law. Current GMAT scores are required by IIT Stuart’s MBA degree program, but current LSAT scores may be substituted by applicants to the MS programs. Interested students should call the IIT Stuart Office of Admission at 312.906.6576 or email us at admission@stuart.iit.edu. Dual enrollment can reduce degree requirements by as many as ten courses. Simultaneous enrollment is required for varying periods of time, depending on the program.

Professional statements and the application fee may also be submitted online as part of the online application. The application fee for international students who apply for admission using the paper application will increase to $50. Students applying online will continue to pay a $40 application fee.
