Ohio University, founded in 1804, is a public university located in Athens, Ohio. There are 16,644 undergraduate students on the Athens campus. The academic disciplines are organized into several colleges: Arts and Sciences; Business; Education; Fine Arts; Health and Human Services; Honors Tutorial College; Engineering and Technology; Communication; Osteopathic Medicine; and the University College. The university confers bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees. Lifelong and Distance Learning program also offers several academic programs.
